Hip Son

Hip Son - Boston-based songwriter, electronic music artist, music producer and music publisher. Through his work in electronic and world music, Hip Son explores personal and global issues, reflects on the past and the future, and looks for answers within the human quest for change.

His music has been performed on various MTV shows (MADE, The Real World, Road Rules, RR/RW Challenge, Pimp My Ride, Making the Band, Undressed), VH1 network (Band Reunited, Born To Diva), Fox TV (Girl Next Door - Playboy Special), BBC (The World), and ITV Channel ("Football"), among others. His other composing credits include songs in indie movies "Exploring Love" and "Road To Victory", music for the documentary "Picture Me Enemy", as well as music for various promotional media produced by Berklee College of Music.

His latest musical venture is called Clash of Civilizations, the electronic world music project created with the fellow composer/producer Nikola Radan. Clash of Civilizations clashes various music from around the world: traditional voices, historic and political samples, ancient melodies (some dating back hundreds of years), and original native instruments.

Hip Son's discography includes: EP "Legacy" with Clash of Civilizations released on the sister label Dialogue, EP "Yes No" with Rambo Amadeus released on Hip Son Music, instrumental albums"Easygoing", "UpBeat" and "Instrumental Music Volume One" released on Hip Son Music, an album "Balkan Tribes" released on Mouthful Records, 12" vinyl "Hands on Yello" released on Urban Records, 12" vinyl "Don't Close The Door" released on OffWorld Records, a CD compilation "Balkans Without Borders" released on Omnium Records.
